« on: April 20, 2008, 05:36:43 PM »

Has anyone put 11" 440 Progressives on an 04 FLHTCSE ?
And if so did you also lower the forks an inch ?

Thanks

I could be way off but I seem to recall some older threads that suggested that Progressive did not recommend their 11" 440's on the SEEG's.  Something about the shock being to short for their dampening system to work properly.  I went to 11" Progressive 412's for my wifes Street Glide.

How does the Street Glide handle with the 11" shocks ?  Street Glides came with 12" air shocks right ?
Did you lower the front end also ?

Thanks

I did lower her front end as I wanted to get her feet flat on the ground.  Her bike came w/`12" air shocks.  Anything is an improvement over those.  She hasn't complained about the 11'er's and she's always right on my ass.  The 412's are cheap so you aren't out much if they don't work for you.

Your wife has not complained of the bike bottoming out ?
What kit did you used to lower the front end ?

Thanks for all the info .

No, it doesn't bottom w/ the spring pre-load set correctly.  But, she only weighs 130 all decked out.  We used the harley lowering kit in the front.  Keep in mind her FLHX is a 2006 model.
