When they were installing mine they told me it wouln't fit unless he modifies it. I said Hog Wash! I know I have seen them on other SEEGs. 2Lane told me his looked like it wouldn't fit but it did, just barely. Next day I went to check on bike and he got it on. Just barely.

Went to install this cover (part # 62800-03) and found out it won't fit even though the instructions says it will.  The hose clamp has a bulge in the back.  I'm sure somebody out there has run into this, so let me know if I can make it work or not.  Thanks, Let's Roll

It went right over the fitting?  With the hose clamp and everything?

I also had no problems, but I don't remeber the clamp, I'll take  a look too.

Just went and checked the moco site, read this that I copied:

Fuel Tank Fitting Cover

Fits '03-'05 fuel injected Touring and '02-'05 fuel injected Softail® models.
(Does not fit '05 models with fuel lines 62349-04A, 62900-01A, or 62190-01A which are secured by a holding clamp.)

My bike, 05 SEEG, has the fuel injection type clamp, not the clamp you have pictured.

Thanks for the info.  Wish they would know this kinda info. at the dealer.

According to HD they made a change to the bikes in January so if you have a teal or early run cherry it fits.  [smiley=thumbsup.gif] If you have a cherry made in February or a yellow bike it won't fit, [smiley=thumbsdown.gif] without some modification of course.  Your dealer should be able to print an update that explains things.

I guess I'll give it another try at it.  Did you installed it yourself?  If you did, did it go on fairly easy? Thanks for the info.  Let's Roll

When you do go to put it on, be careful not to loose the small screws,I put a towel under the area .

Were you able to get that bad boy on? I personally did not install it but I had it in my hands and set it up there and it didn't appear it would fit. I told them I was going to see what the other guys done, 2lane told me it was tight but it fit. Next day I told service manager and he said mechanic got it on. I would be glad to ask if he had to do something to make it fit. Just let me know.
