My grips only get toasty warm at speeds under 60, but my seat gets real hot after about 10 minutes or so. I usually don't ride with both hands on the wheel, so I think the cold air cools them off at high speeds.

Best thing I ever did was get rid of the POS HD one's and get the Heat Demons. Much better overall heat and they work all the time. And no more rubber twister to fiddle with. :bananarock:

Went for a ride late last night. Grips don't feel very warm.........again. I''m going to have to take to the dealer in spring for a new set. Already on my second. I'll make sure I get the best out of my extended warranty. THE MUFFMAN

I wonder.........will the dealership/MOCO just give you the grips, so you can install them........or do they have to do the install, since it will be done under your extended service plan?  I could probably get a new set, but I get nervous when the chimps get within a mile of my bikes.

I run my heated grips around 3 or 4 with heavy gloves.  Anything above 4 and they are too hot.  The seat is very warm on low and too hot on high even in very cold weather.
Needed my heated grips for the first time last week on a ride thru the smoky mountains, and guess what, NO HEAT!  I about froze my fingers off before getting to a store to buy a pair of insulated gloves.  So now back to the dealer.....

Must be the new MoCo accessory:  chrome refrigerated/heated steering wheel   ;)

Dennis, I've heard the heat pump for your grips sometimes gets stuck on "freeze" instead of switching over to "stir-fry."  For some reason, many of the techs think it's the muffler bearings that cause the problem, when it's really the refrigerant anti-freeze that's the cause.

Opee, you might want to limit conversation of the new device for which Kury handpicked you to beta test.  Word has it the Koreans are really big on loyalty.  If you do a good job and keep things under the radar, they may pick you to beta test the new black chrome, Industrial R-12A based, MIL-STD-1553B data bussed, touch screen controlled (interfaced through your Zumo), air conditioner.   ;) :2vrolijk_21:
