Hey Guys/Gals,

St Paul Mn here. Been riding 25 yrs. Just bought a FLHRSE4 and its still sitting at the dealer awaiting a couple things.  I want Rinehearts on it buy the shop guy says they have been having alot of problems with the header pipes cracking. Anybody heard of that?  Sounds like bs to  me.....  Anyhow I hope to learn and share as much as possible here.  Been reading alot here and learned a few things already. Any advice or opinions about my SERK would be greatly appreciated from other SERK owners. :)

Welcome from the land of speed and beer!!  There are about 1K site members with Rinehearts and I have not heard of a problem with them yet...your shop should worry about the products that they sell falling apart rather than bashing a quality product.  There is no shortage to the problems with Harley's Cream-of-the-Crop cycles full what do they say about that...Get them to focus on things that are in their control...and listen to them back peddle when you bring it in for failures.

Welcome to the site glad to have you join us. :2vrolijk_21: Several years ago there was a problem w/the mounting bracket to starter on the left side pipe that was causing the weld to crack/break. Rinehart has since redesigned that mount. I've had Rinehart's on my :pumpkin: since Oct. '04 and love them. :2vrolijk_21:

I've had no issue with my Rinehart TD  Love the sound and performance when tuned for em. Ideas on how to spend money....you have come to the right site.

Welcome from western NY.  I just got back York and Anniversaries were ALL they were making in the CVO plant on Friday.  I rode with GHw/08SERK over the weekend and he has Reinhardts on his SERK.  They sound real good.  I'm not aware of anyone having problems that were mentioned by your dealer.  FireD00D may be right.  They may be referring to an older problem that's been since corrected.
