Its getting hot and need help with a cup holder
« on: April 27, 2008, 10:24:50 PM »

If I'm not mistaken the SERK4 comes with a handle bar bigger than 1".
I know what you are going to say, however, I need help.

Everywhere I look they only sell nice looking holders for 1" bar. I like the bag holder kurykyan sells #1422. It states 1" bar. Is there a way to rig it so it will fit the SERK4 bigger bar?
Or has anyone purchased the perch mounting one from Kurykyan #1463, if so please let me know what you think.

I do like the swivel but the perch mount is so close, I don't think I want my cup to swivel and hit my hand. Plus, it will only work with the same cup. I want variety.....

Just get a Camelback a fill it with water and freeze it before the ride, as it melts it cools you, plus you have it readily accessible for drinking.

these are good point, however, does anyone know where to find a holder for the SERK4 bars? As a matter fact you correct second time is funny. Try walking on the beach with it filled with beer. The next time is even worse.

Eglidegoodies sells one for fatter bars, but looks like your cup has to be about the size that comes with it.Kind of pricey, but it is chrome.

I've heard rumors of a side-cover with an integrated cup holder or something like that coming from HD soon. Might be worth waiting to see if this comes to be with the 09's in a couple of months.

Maybe, but I'm being serious. I have heard that they have been working on integrating some sort of drink holder into a side panel. Details are really sketchy so we'll have to wait and see if it really happens.

Based on the fact that I don't have any hard details, it may be, but I was led to believe we're talking about something from the MoCo, not the aftermarket. :nixweiss:
