Picture of Mini-Beast air horn on SEEG2
« on: May 04, 2008, 08:50:11 PM »

Finally bought and installed the Mini-Beast air horn after seeing David's (Virginia Eagle) in York.  The look is growing on me and it is extremely loud.  David had the SE medallion on his and in doing a horn search, saw that Roger had the medallion also.

The Mini-Beast is a Stebel air horn mounted inside their own cover and comes with a complete wiring harness for an easy install.  The Mini-Beast is made by www.thepropad.com  and I bought from Eastern Performance on Ebay for $118.95 including shipping.  That is 3 times the amount of just the Stebel air horn but I didn't want to seperate the 2 halves and mount the horn part under the cow bell.

Hope this picture helps someone else looking for a LOUD horn even at speed.  I removed a Stebel electric horn I mounted under the cow bell.  The Stebel elec was loud in the garage but not at speed.

I like a loud horn and my stock horn only works about half the time.
So far this is the best looking air horn, with the cover and all,
but can you tell me why it is so expensive compared to
the same horn with no cover? I can understand it being
higher priced but 3 times higher?

After buying this horn, is it worth the extra $$$$?

Compared to the MOCO air horns, they are a steal.  There is no place to mount the Stebel air horn in one piece.  It has to be cut in half with the horn glued to the cow bell and the compressor under the seat.

This Mini-Beast air horn is way better than stock or the Stebel elcetric I took off.  I highly recommend it.

That is good enough for me. I will be ordering one of these
soon. Thanks,

Glad I could be of some help by offering the demo Boatman!

Hope you have as good an experience with your Mini-Beast as I have had with mine for well over a year. :2vrolijk_21:

It was a pleasure meeting you and the others in York too.

Where did you get the SE medallion?  It looks like it was made that way.

Besides the battery cables, I have about 5-6 additional items on with them.  So far the bolts stay tight and it cranks good.  Need to run the wires to a mini fuse box that 2lane mentioned in another post.
