Outdoor Cover for CUSE3
« on: May 14, 2008, 06:14:31 PM »

Help!  I'm looking for an outdoor cover from my bike that can accomodate the shorty antenna's as well.  The one that ships with the bike (The indoor CVO cover) has a velcro flat on the back but I dont want to use it outdoors for an overnight cover or for use in rainy conditions.    When I look at the Dowco or Exitent web site neither have that (velcro flap for the ant ) capability built into the cover. Any idea's

Jester,
Read through this thread before I posted but still came to the conclusion after going to the web sites that nothing accomodates the antenna's like the one that ships with the bike.  I will re-read it again more carefully to see if I have missed something.  Cheers.

Sorry, I remember reading something recently in a similar thread and looked at your registration date to see if you may have missed it.

When traveling, most riders leave the bikes uncovered in the rain for 3 reasons
  1) to prevent hot exhaust from burning a cover
  2) to allow morning dew or rain to provide enough moisture to remove the road grime and bugs from previous days
  3) to SHOW OFF THEIR CVO'S!

I have to admit, I had a sick feeling the 1st time my bike was caught in a parking lot monsoon.  NBD now, it's why I bought it.  Also, a cover takes up valuable storage space, especially when traveling with a passenger.

My HD Storm Shield is great. Unzips at the back to go around the antennae.

I use these covers when I'm on the road. They are small, light weight and only cover the top half of the bike.  I never keep my bike uncovered while on the road or at work. The design for the Ultra basically wraps around the Tour Pack rack so there are no issues with the antennas.
