Foot Board spacers
« on: May 15, 2008, 02:43:05 PM »

Hey guys, looking for something that will move the drivers foot boards away from the bike. Its a little too close for longer touring than I would like. I bought the kit from Kuryakyn while at Myrtle Beach bike week but it doesn't fit. Any suggestions? On a side note.............I bought a set of Heli handle bars and put them on for the 4 hour ride back. They are by far the best money I have spent on the bike so far. They have infinite amounts or adjustments. So you can get the ride psoition you need. I have the info if you need it!!

I put the Kuryakyn footboard extenders in mine.  Fit just fine.

Ditto, works fine. But, realist you do lose a bit of clearance on hard or tight turns; so buy some touch up paint for the lower extremities.  :2vrolijk_21:

Yep, I drag my footboards a little easier now.  That's what footboards are for, right?

Put them on my '07 SERK, and no issues.  I know Hoist has a well.  Which side doesn't fit?

I'm not sure either would work. I had their tech put them on for free at the rally. I bought the chrome ones they reccomended and the tech said they would not work. Did you guys buy something different? I don't have the cat number but the reciept says relocator brackets for the driver???

This is what I installed.  Not chrome.  Are we talking about different things?

No thats not what they sold me. It was $89.99 and was chrome 4 little brackets that were to fit on the footboards and connect to the chrome brace. So this peace works?? I mean the one you bought? Does the lttle bit you gain make a difference?

It does work.  I wasn't looking for a lot of additional space, so they did make a difference.

Just added a set to mine. Certainly a good $40 investment.
