I don't believe this has been an issue since the late 90's when the US mandated low sulfur gasoline. Time will tell I suppose.  ;)

I have no first hand experience myself, only stated what I was suggested when I was doing my motor. I hope that's all true and that your motor is awesome!!! :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21: :2vrolijk_21:

Me too. I'm not in as big a hurry now. I picked up a 2000 Road Glide this week to use as a backup bike. 4 weeks of no riding was taking its toll on me!  :o

With all the miles you put on that thing each year, I hope that motor serves you well! Good luck with the RG! :2vrolijk_21:

My front jug started to leak and took it in at 9800 miles for the 10k service.  Dealer said that it was covered under the standard warranty.  I asked if the rear cylinder would be replaced at the same time knowing the answer, and after he stopped laughing, said no.  But he called me back for a rear tire replacement question and said that they would replace both head gaskets and covered under warranty with no charge. Went from DC to FL then back thru SC for bikeweek and so far, all is well.  Good luck
