Is it time for Mungam to get a CVO
« on: May 18, 2008, 08:38:03 AM »

OK,

His brother runs the most popular CVO website on the internet.

He has been to more major CVO GTGs that ANYBODY else including his brother!

So, is it time for Steve to throw caution to the wind and just get a CVO?  I say YES!

So everybody, lend a hand and find all the CVOs on ebay and wherever to help the brother out.  he does not know what to look for and what all the mods to the bike mean so we will have to help him there.  He wants a fairing and lowers and would probably be better off with the lowered '04-'05 SEEG.

I like Steve's bike ok :nixweiss: .

I like the red bike better :drink: .

I'm also just glad we got to have at least one meal together.

However....  Steve, an 04 or 05 SEEG is a good ride.  FWIW, unless the paint scheme from one year or the next is just a big factor for you I personally think the 05's vented lowers are a nice improvement.  They're big and they're effective.

I spoke to Steve about this briefly in Sedona and the important thing to me is that he indicated he was interested in aquiring a CVO Harley. So that more than anything is what matters to me - - that he wants to do this. As to the model, I'd think given what he's been riding that he'd feel most at home on a SERK, but he did indicate that he wanted a fairing and lowers, so that leaves us with two years of SERGs and two years of SEEGs and 3 years of SEUCs. Steve's a quiet guy with a big heart and it's not his nature to be obvious (in my opinion) so a Banana or a Pumpkin seems out of the question. My take is he'd like something he doesn't see a lot of, so scratch the Cherry Bomb. If I were a rich man and could give Steve a bike, I think it'd be a toss-up between the 01 Blue/black/white SERG and the 04 Cobalt Blue SEEG. Obviously the 01 SERG would need a bunch of upgrades including a 103 motor, stiffer swingarm, better shocks and brakes etc. The 04 would seem only to need the vented lowers, a better seat and better suspension. I can see Steve on an 04 Cobalt SEEG. Perhaps he can pick one up for under $20k, invest another 5 or 6K in it and have a bike that suits his personality fits him to a fair thee well and performs to his liking. Just my $0.02 of course.

Steve, if this is what you want to do then I wish you good hunting in finding the bike you want.  :2vrolijk_21:

His current bike is alright, after all he did lead a bunch of drowned CVO riders around Prescott, AZ if I remember correctly. Thanks Steve. CVO's are great when the time is right.

While I have not yet had the pleasure to meet Steve, I do feel Brian has chosen a more than appropriate matchup between man and machine. In fact, it has made me begin to ponder that matchup for myself as well...hmmmm...04 Cobalt SEEG...perhaps rather than a 103, I could go with a Jim's 120? Anyone have an extra $34,000.00 just burning a hole in their pocket to lend aid to my "perfect bike project"? Oh, wait, this thread is about Steve...(quietly backing down from his "it's all about me" stance).

Help me out here.  I know I need the lowered bike (short legs) so it is the 04 or 05.
I want what my bike never had. Tour pack. real faring and lowers.
So that's a SEEG ????
What were the colors for 04/05?
