Same reason with being careful going to the 18" rims and tires - load range

Oh, you're gonna fit right in here.  By the way, I got no frakking idea how large of a back tire will fit without modification.  But hang on for a bit.  Someone surely will.

Otis??  Where the hell are you man?

Here the hell I am Don welcome Btyner I have heard of 140 and 150s on glides so I tried a 140 and it rubed the bracket on the rear fender that holds the light on the bottom of the fender so bad I went back to a 130.

The problem with Otis's tire is that he was "doing" 140 and the centrifugal force was expanding the tire to the point of rubbing, no rub at 130 though.

And I heard, even slowing down to 130, Chip couldn't keep up  :huepfenjump3:

Thanks Otis....I may just stick w/ the OEM.  Just looks awful skinny for the big 'ol bike.

Exactly!
A 130 is fine.
A 140 will fit but you will have to trim some stuff.
Stick with the 130!

I'm sure it's been discussed here before, but after reading thru previous post I didn't see it.

>>What's the largerst rear tire that'll fit on the FLTRSEI2 w/o modifications?<<

BenT

I'm running a 140 right now and I get some hard rubbing when backing up. Rolling forward is no problem, but when backing up it makes an awful sound. It also scuffs up the Wide White Wall too. My next tire will be a 130.

What all needs trimming besides the belt guard?
