So is anybody else still waiting to take delivery on your '08 Serk?

After paying a $500 non-refundable deposit . . . . I was originally told I would get the bike in April; then dealer called to say that "Black/Silver" bikes were being painted last and ship date had been pushed back to late May or early June.

Now I'm being told the current ship date is July 11th . . . .  >:(

Do you think I'm being fed a line of BS??

They should be about to the end of production for 08?  Seeing some high numbers on the Anni Ultra so they should almost be done.  And with the dealer meeting just about 2 months away the 09's will be coming...

Not unusual at all. Ordered/put down deposit on mine in Aug/Sept '03, and didn't pick bike up until July '04. Hang in there it's coming.

When at the York CVO plant tour in late April, all they were building were the anniversary colors on the CVO Ultra's, RK's, and Springers.  Probably telling you the truth.

That's the truth.  HD is on the hook for set production numbers on the Anny version of all 4 so they can complete the serialization of them.  My guess is they'll take a look at the orders for the others and ship them in the next couple months when the Anny run is complete.

Posted early it is not uncommon for a delay. Wait it will all be worth it in the end. I waited for some time for mine and I am glad I did. A blacka and blue was sitting on floor before mine showed up. I was realy temped to take that one. Boy am I glad I waited. I talked the dealer near my house and said the same thing about the annie models. They flouded the market w/ the annie series and didn't do as good as they hoped. Trust me waiting is best. IMO!

The weird thing is my reply is word for word, exactly the same as lzyboy. I'd wait all over again.

I ordered mine in July 2007. It was supposed to be a 3rd quarter bike due to come in February then March now the ship date is June 3, 2008. I'm still patiently waiting.  >:(

Dude, you are a saint.  I had to wait 2 month for my bike, and I was past crazy by the last week.   :huepfenjump3:  I had spies watching the dealership everday with instructions to call me anytime they were unloading new bikes off of a truck.

Maybe I needed spies too. My 3rd quarter bike could have been sold to a higher bidder? I hope not. I stayed with the Utah Timpanogos dealer because I want them for my bike service.

I am supposed to take delivery on mine this Saturday the 14th.  I have been like a kid after Turkey Day, it is hard to wait for X-mas. :bananarock:

I already have two trips planned, one to Lake City, Co and back down through Taos then home.  The other south of here in SE Oklahoma, Talimena Drive, and I plan on getting the break-in miles before that.  Damn the luck, I may be on it non-stop after I take delivery.

Dealer called me today and offered to let me have a 2008 SERK "Anny" they have on the floor . . . seems the customer backed out.

Makes you wonder if he's been reading about the 110 problems . . . .

Anyway, I declined. I'm holding out for the "Black and Silver".  New ship date is 7/7/08 . . . . I can hardly wait!!   :2vrolijk_21:
