Making the Goal

I've already told the story.  It's on this Great Site.

It's been a little over four years since Stephanie faced her first major challenge.  After a traumatic accident, and an unexpected diagnosis followed by several trips to places like UAB, Duke University, and Vanderbilt University Children's Hospitals, Stephanie (HarleyBoxer on this site) has reached one of the goals she set for herself on the morning of 22FEB2004 shortly before she went into surgery for the closed reduction of her left hip, which she had broken the night before:  "I WILL WALK WHEN I GRADUATE FROM HIGH SCHOOL.

Tonight............she walked!  And I can't fight the tears as I type, so I'll post pictures.



Renea and I are so proud of our courageous little Girl!



She has been accepted to the University of Alabama at Huntsville and has declared her major as...........Systems Engineering!


Way to go, Sweetie!  We Love You!!!!!!

Henry,  This is fantastic news and so glad you shared your pride and joy with all of us.  Steph, you make be feel very mortal.  We share your parents high emotions on your achievement of your goals.  I say goals, because there must have been a million little ones to reach this major accomplishment.  Congratulations and all the best of luck to you in your future endeavors.  I am confident that you will achieve anything you wish.  You have learned life's lessons young and these will carry you for the rest of your life.

That is such a great story. I am just like Porthole. I too am sharing tears with you Henry.

In the world I live in at work, this simple sweet story should remind us all what life is all about.
