help with stage 1 installation - need to pull the tank?
« on: May 23, 2008, 11:21:18 PM »

I bought a screamin eagle stage 1 kit for my 2008 SERK. Step 3 & 4 of the instructions say to remove the fuel tank so you can remove and discard the induction module support bracket that is in front of the cylinder head bosses where the breather bolts screw in. DO I really have to remove the tank to do this or is there a way to remove that bracket without taking the tank off?

You should not need to remove the tank. Its tight to get to the bolts but it can be done. I have done several 08's without removing the tank.

I just used a 3/16" allen wrench & backed the bolts out of the induction plate with the tank on. It was a tight fit but can be done...
