Brings back fond memories of stopping in at the local Honda / Triumph dealer on a regular basis to drool over the Bonneville and the Daytona 500, back in 1966 through 1968.  Couldn't afford either one on my part time job, so I had to stick with my Bridgestone and just fantasize.  As luck would have it, by the time I could afford one they weren't being sold here anymore.  Triumph, BSA, Norton, Royal Enfield; if I ever hit the lottery I hope to own a restored version of at least one of each.

I was doing good daydreaming looking at the pictures till you mentioned the bad old days Jerry. The last Trump I had seized up at about 50 mph. The rotor and stator welded themselves together. Beautiful 650 Bonny except for the Lucas electrics. Must be why Harley's don't get me too worked up.

Last year at the 2007 Arkansas State HOG Rally we were standing outside of this bar when one of these came by.  We all hailed him down so that we could get a good look at it.  One of the guys asked who did his restoration work.  We were floored to hear that it was brand new!  A really nice looking scoot, ahem, to not be a Harley.

I'll check with Freedom cycles and see what they say about group pricing.   :huepfenjump3:  :2vrolijk_21:

I like the looks and enjoyed mine (Bonneville), aside from the damn Lucas electrics as Brian said.  :soapbox: They were the worst electrical systems ever.
