How or what do I use to adjust spot lights

I meed to adjust the two spot lights they are pointed to the ground.I was checking alinement of my head light when I noticed that my spot light are tilted down so much that at 15 ft in frount of bike their hitting ground. With the wire coming out of center and the nut reseced in the crome holder I can't get a wrench on the nut what do I need?

I have seen people get a cheap socket and put a cut lenth wise into it. At least that's how Chief does mine.

with the CVO style mounts you might be able to get an open end wrench on it

some one told me today he saw a split socket but didn't know where to get it

If you have a grinder just cut it. If not you can try NAPA.

While I had to use some vaseline for the snap-on socket, it does work extremely well.

Go to your toolbox and find that rusty 9/16" socket and cut a grove in the scoket with your dremel tool. The groove is to place the wire in while you tighten the nut.

When you solve the tool dilemma, you still have to deal with the less than precise design of the mount.  If you fully loosen the nut and then try to position the light and hold it while you use the other hand to tighten the nut, be prepared for a lot of cussin'.  My method involves just loosening the nut very slightly and then bumping the light with the heel of my hand until I get it positioned, then carefully snugging the nut.

What do you all think is the propper a line mint for the spot lights.
Their is nothing in the book that I could find. :nixweiss:
