Gena messed that girl up.. Maybe Kerrys contract problems are a blessing ,  AK

Yea, bad enough that they had to stop the fight.  All those fights were good last night.......a lot of action in every one of them.

Kerry reminds me of the character from the Kung Fu series.  Nice, quiet, but can seriously hurt you and you never see it coming.  I know Dad-mode kicks in, but I think Kerry will be just fine!!!  I have faith in her.  She's one of my heroes!  If I had a daughter, I'd want her to grow up to be just like her!

Don't tempt me.  I'd move to Carlsbad in a heartbeat!!  The flowers, the water, friends, and Legoland!  Life would definitely be fun...until an earthquake took place and I'd want to migrate South!

After 57 years in California and only experienced one mild earthquake, think I'll take the quake over tornadoes, hurricanes and the blizzards and snow storms. :)

A few years ago, I was in San Diego for a user group conference and while I was there from Sunday to Saturday, there were three quakes and the threat of a Tsunami.  My son and his friend were still in the room on the 17th floor and water was sloshing out of the toilet.  I was on the ground floor and was walking across a podium to speak and stumbled.  I thought I tripped over someone's feet.  I had no clue what was going on until people starting running out of the conference hall.  Where I live in Georgia, we get tornadoes, floods, heat, drought, and once even had an earthquake that only lasted 20 someodd seconds but wreaked havoc on the plumbing in this old house!  So, I don't guess California sounds too bad afterall...except for wildfires!  When is my flight?   :nixweiss:  Would I get to join the MMA?

Fired00d,

Hey, I don't post much here but you guy's have helped me out a great deal with some of my scooter issues. Thanks. This may not be appropriate but I didn't know another method, can you put me in touch with Brandon Vera? I have a possible business venture that he may be interested in. Straight up, no BS. Just thought I'd throw out a line here.

Thanks...

Hey V
Is there anywhere you can live and not have to deal with Mother Nature ?  I used to say Maine, but of course that was when Old Man Winter didn't bother me. As a matter of fact, I'd root for snow because I loved to downhill ski. And now I miss Maine so bad I can't even put it into words, but the cold would be my undoing. Your timing on this post however is eery. Linda had surgery on her toe and is laid up for a few days. We have been watching the latest round of wildfires on the news and she commented that she wouldn't be able to help if we have to evacuate. Things seem fairly stable however this year as we've had a bit of rain here and there and of course the Santa Ana's are nowhere near what they were last year. Warm breezes as opposed to Blast Furnace Blasts. We should be good. As to the quakes. They are scary to be sure the first time you experience one. You get used to them after awhile. Somehow you never think it's gonna be you on the evening news you know. It's kinda of a disaster version of NIMBY, But I'm open to moving somewhere with temperate climate and no natural disasters to deal with if there is such a place.
