The Dr. told me I was drinking too much of it ( like four 2 liter bottles a day). The caffeine was no good for me and I'd loose weight it I stopped. I figured it couldn't hurt. I remember Henry trying to quit last time we were at CHL. You can ask him, it's not easy!
No, it isn't easy. Quitting smoking was easier. Seems the older I get the more "good stuff" I'm told I need to give up. I've been dealing with a significant amount of pain lately.........actually for months. Most of it is Service related, but some of it is my own doing. For some reason I can't get it through my 18 year old mind that my body is rapidly approaching its 46th year of service. Found that out yesterday on that stupid gravity accelerator at Redstone. Anyway, week before last I went to my Dr. about the pain. I'm not into pills, unless I can't handle the pain. This ain't THAT bad, so I declined the narcs.........but it does HURT! He had me get some blood tests. Got the results Friday. Uric acid is over the top.
GOUT!
He wants me to eat certain foods in moderation....................and give up beer!
Perhaps you saw my plate in the thread from this weekend's events. I'll start tomorrow....................
Yeah..........right!!
Blood Pressure is under control tho'.......now that my cardiologist got the meds right......118/62.

Needless to say.............I fell off the "No Diet Coke" wagon.
