I've been trying to get caught up at work today after taking two days off, I'm almost there, the rest can wait. We had a great time this weekend. the weather was perfect, cool and no rain. I want to thank Henry and Renea for thier hospitality, they made us feell as if we were at home away from home. We took it easy, drank some beer, had some pretty good grub at Indigo Joes and the Third Base, but the real treat came Saturday evening when Henry and Renea fixed a dinner fit for a king! T-bone and ribeyes, I'll just say that Henry knows his way around the BBQ grill. Thanks again guys!
We had  a suprisingly good experience at Fosters H-D inTuscumbia AL. My speedo and cruise control had intermittantly quit working. Figuring it was the speed sensor we stopped at Fosters right at 5:00 Friday afternoon and they were literally locking the doors to go home. Parts and service were closed and dark and one of the salespeople, Sam,told us to come on in and asked what we needed. He looked up the part and found it for me, Stephanie saw a pair of boots she wanted, Val and I got t-shirts, we were there 45 minutes after they were due to close. They were just nice people, so, two thumbs up for Foster H-D in Tuscumbia AL. Here we are having a road soda before hitting the road again.

Like Henry said, if you get a chance to go to the NASA air and space museum, do it. It was cool to see some of the things I had seen on TV in person. The SR-71 Blackbird.

Sorry, back to the museum. The lunar rover. Something I found interesting, with all of this technology, look at the seats on the rover. I think they got them froim my high school lunchroom.

Scooter and Henry in a nipple pinching contest. Notice Henrys defensive stance, while trying to be on the offence.

The Space Shot. This by itself is worth the price of admission. I thought the going up part was cool, my inerds didn't like the coming back down part. It felt like the platform was going to drop out from under you.

7:00am Sunday morning. No further comment necessary.

One of the many things I like about roadtrippin' with Scooter is that he navigates and leads, all I have to do is follow. I didn't realize till about 60 miles out of Memphis that we going through there. It was only a few miles out of the way to Memorial Gardens where my parents and grandparents are buried, so it was a pleasant surprise to be able to visit their graves on this trip. Sorry about not being able to meet up with any of the Memphis crew, but I hope to be able to do that sometime later this year. I really want to do the Beale Street thing. When I lived in Memphis as a kid in the late 60's, well, Beale Street didn't have the same atmosphere as it does now. Later.
