I just got off the phone with Mustang. The lady I spoke with said that they do notmake a seat for 2008 SERK. She also said the reason was that there was not enough demand for them.I think that is a sorry a$$ excuse. KB

I put a Corbin Dual Tour on my 07 SEUC. The first seat they sent was wrong. They sent one with studs. When I called they admitted to the mistake, had a pickup make of the wrong seat, then sent a correct seat 3 weeks later. It is much better than my factory seat and matches the styling of the factory tour pack and back rest. I also like the seating position. I am thinking of buying a airhawk custion for long rides, the Corbin is a little firm for me and I think the Airhawk will provide the needed custion. For Shorter rides, say 200 miles, I find the Corbin seat perfect.

Got my duel heated Corbin last April. Ordered from California & picked it up in Daytona Beach 2 weeks later while on a run. Shipped as promised & good fit & finish. No issues whatsoever. THE MUFFMAN

John, are you speaking of the bottom of the seat pan?  Or someplace else?

This new one I've just received is an old model for them.  2000 Road Glide.  So by no means a new mold they might have created at all recently.  It's fine underneath.  In fact looks like all my other saddles ever have from them; including the two here for the SEEG.  What are they doing on (or not doing) on the newer one that is not up to speed with what they'd done in the past?

My old dual tour for 02 looks different in a good way( good fit n finish, real thick leather) from the 07 serk solo
(paper thin leather, nasty pan finish, crooked) and it looks different than the pillion (could not fit a tour pack on unitl I gouged out 3/8" out of the back)......

Methinks thet are either training unskilled labor or just they don't give a shiite.

It goes back after chl this week...I hope they make it right

Dave,
I, for one, will be very interested in your report and pictures of your new Corbin.  I have plans to order a heated dual tour, but will wait until I hear about your experience with Corbin.

Thanks,

Corbins customer service in california SUCKS

They've been very nice at the Daytona store. That's who I've been dealing with. Plus Jenni's very good friends with one knowledgable guy there. And I bought my stuff from her. So I'm getting a caring person to talk to, who I'm meeting up at Americade tomorrow to evaluate what reworking will be required. Hope you get satisfaction from Hollister! ;)

I agree that dealing with Corbin via the phone or Em sucks. However, for those of us lucky enough to live by the Ca facility, dealing with them in person is great. Their head seat maker, Gustavo, has made about 4 seats for us over the years and has been great to work with. I talked him into making a heated seat without pleats by recessing the heating pad into the foam which hadn't been done before, and have brought seats back in for modification done free of charge. We are actually heading there tomorrow to get a custom pillion made for my bike. Again, I know we a lucky to be able to see the seat being made, test riding on it, and modifying it, all before paying.

Dave, I was trying to wait for your report on the Corbin seat since there have been so much negative reports about recent Corbin seats.  But after owning two previous Corbin seats (98 & 2000 Road Glide) and was very happy with them I just said what to hell, I am going to order it anyway.  A two tone black & gray for my Canyon Canyon & Silver CUSE3.  One question Dave, what mods did you make to get 100 hp/116 tq?  I have D&D Fat Cats, SE a/c,  & SERT.  I like your number and wants to know what else was needed.

Milford.

Same mods as you, I can only guess my Tuner did a great job on the Dyno.

What do Corbin seats and Planters peanut have in common? They both give you hot nuts.
