And so it begins..... CHL is gonna cost me big!
« on: June 12, 2008, 07:16:49 PM »

Well At last count between the new windshield, form fitting ear plugs, ride suspension, color matching trailer, extended shifter levers, HID headlight and those cool lights on Marks Bike I'm figuring 10 grand. Heres a small start that I will be adding tomorrow. Kudo's to Dan at Traxxion Dynamics!! I ordered these Tuesday afternoon the 10th at 2:15 and they arrived today at about 4pm!! Great folks to deal with and give us CVO folks a break on the price if you mention it.

I'm sure you've seen this video Chuck, but i think it speaks volumes about the ride and stability of the BushTec Trailers......

Oh yea, I saw that. When we were coming home on Sunday, we were getting it pretty good in the twisties, and I was getting a little nervous because I could never see the trailer with the inside mirror. It appeared to be tracking outside, like it was getting slung to the outside going around the curves. All of a sudden, I had this awful fear of the a$$ end of the bike being yanked out from under us. :nervous:

I slowed down just in case. I'd like to get someone to follow me sometime and let me know if it was really happening, or just looked that way in the mirrors.

When I saw that video it reminded me of following you on that short little twisty road going into Shenandoah H-D. :shocked2: I was impressed w/the way you were pulling that trailer thru those twisties. That was my first time I had ever been behind a motorcycle pulling a trailer and it was definitely something I wasn't expecting to see.

Ditto here d00d! Chuck, there was no problem with your trailering thru the twisties. Remeber we had to follow you to CHL Thursday evening thru some of those things! I was remarking to Kevin how I had to focus on where I was riding because I was getting transfixed on the way that trailer handled! You would lay it down and the trailer stayed perfectly straight and right in line behind you. No worry's there my friend!

I'm glad to hear it, but when I saw it in my outside mirror and not in my inside mirror, I got kind of puckered.

I chit when I started down the dragon behind a POS pickup pulling a trailer. Was gonna pull over and wait. Til I saw that local boy drive! Does it a few times a day. Was gonna pass, but that local country boy didn't hold me up one bit! Drove the dragon like a MoFo! So I just stayed behind him and then he started slowing 2/3's down, I went to pass and he put his arm out to stop me. I heeded. 2 turns later-road block and Jap bike in the tree-ambulances, cops...! That boy was awesome. Turns out I was fortunate he was in front of me. We talked at Deal's Gap. That was one guy I was blessed to get to meet, talk to, and ride behind!

No matter how good you think you are or wanna be, there are so many more better than you. Just hope you meet em before you try and beat em! Use your head, not your ego! ;)

Traxxion Dynamics fron suspenion should bring the total to $11,500
Wild 1 Chubbys $12,200
Zumo $13,200
ClearView windscreen, I'm not sure, but let's say $13,700
Jims 120 $easily $20K.

Just trying to be helpful.
