Ok, I got home and one of my Rotts' seemed to have taken a liking to the install instruction sheet for my highway peg mount part# 50964-98 (HD). Seems like a straight forward install but my no wrenchin' mind wants to make sure I put them on right.  ::) What I really need to know is what side the small clip goes on?? I'm guessing the weight bearing side  :nixweiss:

Anybody got a copy of these instructions they care to share??  :nixweiss:

Thanks,

Howie

P.S. Anybody in need of a 130lb Rottwieler (umm boat anchor)  :huepfenlol2:

Your dealer ought to be able to get a copy for you - from the HD net or photocopy the instructions from a set in stock.

if you are talking about that clip round 1 side straight on other side and hole in the middle, I think you are referring to the "friction" clip
to get the peg to stay in the position you put it in (mainly in the "up" position)
The flat position goes toward the bike and the round position on the outside (rounded so it does not stick out and cut you)
other than that I doubt it matters but I would put curved out toward peg

Here it is. Wondering if it matters which side this clip is installed on? The clip top left and bottom right.

Sounds about right I gotta play with it.

As was already mentioned I believe that to be the "friction clip". It should go next to the peg itself to keep it mainly in the up position. I believe that to be a standard piece (friction clip) with any of the pegs. Does your SERK have floorboards or pegs for the BSR? If they do have pegs see if you can see something similar on them.
