Congatulations Derrick
That has to be a high for you to win the first one. Tell us what was going thru your head those last few laps. Maybe uncle Otis will put you on your first CVO bike if you can keep winning.
Carl called it right that you were going to be someone special. Again gratulations Derrick Kale on your first Hooters Pro Cup victory.
Dave
Thanks, Dave. Thanks for all the support from everyone. They say after the first Win, they come easier. We hope so. The "Kid", drove his little narrow a$$ off in Mansfield. But, he always does. I'm thinking that win will move us from 6th in the points Race, to first. I'll post the most recent picture of "Ol' Blackie", later today, which I now use to retrieve salvage and wrecked units, for my Used Parts Department. I put a new "Long and Tall", Black Western Star in service, to pull the Transporter for the Team. I'll post some pictures of the "New One", Wednesday. While I really enjoyed hauling the Cars and Equipment to the Races, it was just too time consuming. You know, when the cat's away, the mice will play. I hired Jeffrey Brafford, aka "Clampet", to drive the "New Star." He's a "Hoot", to say the least. We used to run together to the Races, when he drove for Jay Fogleman's Team. I liked the way he took pride in the Fogleman's Tractor and Transporter, and the way he handled it. Long story short, I knew Fogleman had lost some of his sponsorship money, so I called them and asked them what their plans were for Clampet. Now, Clampet works for me full time. Next Race is June 28, at Salem, Indiana. I think it's a 3/4 mile Oval, with 34 degree banking. Gonna' be fun! You can follow the Kid's progress, and the Race live, on usarprocup.com The Mansfield Race will be aired on the SPEED Channel next Wednesday at 4:00 p.m., and the following Friday at 12:00 noon, I think. I'll research later today, and correct if I'm wrong about the times. Later--HUBBARD
