My 07 SE Ultra Lives Again
« on: June 18, 2008, 09:01:54 PM »

Well two months later (took over 9 weeks just to get the parts) I got the call. My bike is back to life with new aftermarket pistons and cylinders, a new cam, Fueling oil pump. It's been heat cycled for several days now and is ready to go.  :orange:

Hopefully the HD factory 110' design nightmare is behind me now.  :2vrolijk_21:

I have to say that I will never buy another new Harley again. I love this bike but the MOCO has lost a good customer this time. Funny thing is, for what I spent on band aids from the start, I could of just had this done and probably never had a problem. Time will tell if the bottom end is next though.  :o

Hope she holds up! Keep us updated. Mine started leaking top and bottom at about 12K and has over 19K now. Just waiting for her to bust loose before I make any decisions.

Congratulations of getting her back together.  Now its time to pile up the miles!

Whose cylinders did you use?  Congrats on having her home.  Good riding and good miles.

Revolution custom made some to fit. Cylinders and pistons. I get her home tomorrow in the AM. One of my riding bros is hauling me up for the pick up.  :cucumber:

I'm feeling the same way with mine right now. If I knew then what I know now, I would have just ordered a Jim's engine, and when it came in, I wouldn't have been down but 2-3 days. Like you say though...only time will tell.

I jumped the gun with about 2000 k on mine with different heads cams pistons etc. Best move I made. Not a problem whatsoever. Doesn't run as hot. Hope you have as good luck with yours as I am having with mine.THE MUFFMAN

Picked up the bike an hour ago and rode it home. Bike runs better than it ever has! It's also nice seeing the oil pressure up at an idle.  :2vrolijk_21:
