Ever hear of a fictional character named Nehmiah Scudder from an old Robert Heinlein novel called "Revolt in 2100?"  Old pulp paperback science fiction about what is basically an American Ayatollah that effectively ends the Republic.  That's who I think of whenever I read or hear one of this nutjob's rants.

Am familiar with the book as an old acquaintance preoccupied with the end of the world used to quote portions of it.  Sure fits this situation, but must admit that my first correlation with this fictional character was Barack Hussein Obama......

The "why are they doing this" basically stated by Phelps himself:

God is angry at Nebraska and Iowa for legal action taken against the Westboro Baptist Church for flag burnings and military funeral protests.

According to the WBC....apparently, God decided to seek vengeance against Nebraska and Iowa by sending a tornado to kill Boy Scouts.

I guess this is a new thing of what this group of lunatics does when not protesting at our soldier's funerals....I just don't get any of it.
