Thanks to all!
« on: June 19, 2008, 08:19:58 PM »

Although not a huge milestone, I thought I would make my 250th post by thanking you all for your helpfullness, knowledge, patience, pictures, colorfull commentaries, criticism, patriotism, and more if I had a thesaurus. I haved saved money by reading how to do things the dealers said couldn't be done but in the end spent more because of everyone's great ideas, Thanks alot! Been riding bikes for 38 years and although many years ago I built a rat bike from the ground up and an stage 4 HD engine from parts, I have learned more on this forum than any where else. I am almost beginning to enjoy going into Jim's (hd-dude) shop and EVERY TIME having him point out something I screwed up on one of our bikes! (I think he enjoys it). But best of all, most everyone here seems like real good folk! Man, I'm getting all sentimental, I would go do something manly but I have to cook dinner for the little woman and the dog.   Thanks again, Roger

Great post Roger.  I feel the same way.  Especially since reading the GH & Hoist update.  It gives us all a great deal of confidence when traveling in unfamiliar territory (both on the road and in performing mods to our bikes).  I can see myself using up all of my vacation time to attend CVOHarley gatherings where there are no strangers, just friends I haven't met yet.

funny, I was talking to my wife last night...  I have to make a quick up and back to western NY in the late summer/fall, I bet her I could ride with a CVOharley.com member for a good portion of the ride if I announced it.  I already know I am going to bug Good Howie for a place to crash before the descent south/west after I get to my destination.

And I am sure there would be a assist anywhere along the way if I needed it...

True dat Major!  Since I LIVE in western NY I expect a PM of the dates so I can buy you a beer!
