I prefer if the BSR just sits back and relax . Leaning too little or to much is worse than nothing at all. THE MUFFMAN

The only guy who rides with me regularly is my son.  He's 13 now and started on the tank of my Sporty at 2.  He can drive the thing from the back he's that good.  I sometimes have to look back to make sure he didn't fall off since I can never even feel him.  With him on we do drill team style turns in parking lots and scrape the floorboards on a regular basis on the roads too.

My wife, who usually rides her own, is also a great BSR.  I can tell she's behind me for two reasons... The left reason and the right reason.  In my back.  I married her for a reason.  :P :bananarock:

Any other girl gets on the back of my bike and I tell them the hands go on my belt loops at my sides.  The boobs go in my back and they stay there.  They either get offended and are fuming and forget to worry about my riding or they get a kick out of my tacky behavior and forget about my riding.  Either way we're thru a few turns and then they relax and aren't usually a problem.

Of course I never notice what's pressed in my back.... Honest.  I swear.  Really.  And the new gasket's will fix all your leaks.

Ride Safe,
J-Carr

That's FUNNY!  I've only had one BSR like that.  As much as I liked it, it was slightly distracting.

"What do you CVO operators tell 1st time passengers before you allow them on your bike?"
I tell them to hold still, especially at low speeds and to not lean at all, just stay straight up in the saddle.

This is the best advice for first timers and for anyone not trying to ride really fast around corners. I usually tell them also to pay attention to the very hot parts of the engine and exhaust, and not to touch anything in these areas.

On the other hand, if you are riding fast with an experienced BSR, leaning with the rider is quite appropriate and helps to corner better.

Ride safely,
Louis

I always have her look over my shoulder for whatever turn we're doing (turning/leaning right, look over my right shoulder, turning/leaning left, look over my left shoulder), keep her feet flat on the boards and enjoy the ride.

My BSR has been riding behind me for about 30 years.  She does great.
Best of all, I can hardly tell when she gets on behind me.  One thing that irritates me is for someone trying to get on behind me to leaning out on the passenger footboard as they step up to get on and then leaning out too far the direction as they mount the bike >:(
My wife does great; she steps straight up on the passenger footboard and then sits straight down on the seat.

I always tell passengers (especially those that have never been on a motorcycle); Stay Behind Me.  By this I mean, don't try to lean out of a curve and don't try to lean in to a curve more than I do.  Stay behind me and its all good :2vrolijk_21:

We take it for granted that our BSR's know what they are doing.  I'm taking this opportunity to ask this question,

"What do you CVO operators tell 1st time passengers before you allow them on your bike?"I tell them to hold still, especially at low speeds and to not lean at all, just stay straight up in the saddle.  I took my 18 year old nephew for his 1st ride on Sunday.  it was obvious at 1st he didn't know what to do with his hands.

I know this was directed at CVO Owners, but WTF.  First question I ask is "Do you like to ride fast?"  You know, right to the point, 'cause that's the way I ride.  Then I tell them, "I'm not gonna' hurt Ol' Hub, so don't worry about you."  Some get on, and some don't.  ;) There endeth the lesson.  Later--HUBBARD
