insurance industry stats aside... alcohol is involved in a large percentage of all single vehicle accidents, its just that drunks on bikes bounce better, and skewer easier. they also have fewer balloons in front of them...moral? don't ride drunk unless the roadway has nerf jersey barriers and landscaping, your bike is equipped with multiple airbags, and you're horoscope says it's OK...I say "sleep it off and make up a lie instead..."

TN, as you know the only thing required to get a permit here in SC is to take a simple written multiple choice test. One does not need to know how to ride. Once you have a permit here in SC you can swing a leg over any motorcycle and ride so long as it's light out, no need to ride with an experienced rider, no mandatory classroom education.
I was just down in Florida. As of July 1, 2008 in FL it will be mandatory to take the MSF course to get a motorcycle license.

aj, true on that but most ppl don't respect the full terms as in permits are required to wear a helmet and M endorsements gives you freedom of choice. :bananarock:

I heard that from parents teachers friends co-workers strangers voices in my head from a very young age, but I usually was too busy doing something else to listen.   

I agree BTW but the term "both" might apply better than "one."   :nixweiss:
