They are doing well.  Would have like to stay longer but we had/have miles to go before we sleep...(or get home 5:30 hrs to my house now.)

Steve

Good to hear, be safe out there :2vrolijk_21:

My SEEG hasn't covered the miles yours has today Steve.  But it did get a little ride.  You guys be safe on these last legs.  Don't let landing fixation push anyone farther than a nap would fix.

If plans were working like they are supposed to, you should be home now.  The logistics were mind boggling, but with Bill driving and navigating, you guys tackled the drive in true CVO style.  The bike looked so good in the back of Bill's HD/Ford truck.  Wish we'd had more time too, but I am so happy you called us.  Next time, give me a tiny bit more warning and I will cook for you.  See y'all in MV in September.  Steve, try to eat the add ons like an elephant.  One small bite at a time.  I mean, it has live this long like that, it is not going to spoil to stay like that for awhile.

The WFP Harley Hauling Company successfully completed the job....2763miles RT from My house in 66 hours...Steve, glad I could partake in the adventure.

I get home and Anne wants to take a ride...I caught myself falling asleep on the bike twice...so we stopped for lunch and I only drank Iced Tea...was better the rest of the trip.

Got home from the ride and started the 5K service to be accomplished by me...Oil Change-Completed...Transmission Fluid Change-Completes...Primary...stripped an inspection cover screw...chit!  Will deal with it tomorrow...too tired right now.

Oh and Jamey/Candy, Chateau Briand sounds great to me...if Anne is with me, take a piece of shoe leather, cover it with the sauce and she will never know the difference...she does steak burnt...beyond well done.  Medium Rare for me will be just fine!

No words can describe how grateful I am to you for joining Neal & I on this crazy crazy ride.
We could not have done it without your assistance (truck, driving, off loading and of course checking out the bike for me).

Thank You for EVERYTHING

There are several shades of green I think you should be able to find something that would blend in well. :2vrolijk_21: I'll just add that even though it says permenant you will be touching it up after washing. Doesn't stick well to metal especially when getting washed, and you'll get used to having it w/your cleaning and detailing stuff.

Hey Steve...after tring for thirty minutes to remove the oil filter on the new 2008, I am getting the HD Wrench...I managed but what a PITA.  The 08 hoses and overall design prevented the use of a strap wrench.

Something we discussed during the ride home if you recall.

I had nothing to do with it.  It was all Neal and of course it would be nothing without you the members making it what it has become.

I still like mungam it is a tribute to my late dog Magnum.

Steve, a buddy here bought a band type wrench from the dealership.  I don't know if that's the only thing sold under the Harley name or not.  Just an FYI.  For comparison you might look at this one:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/HARLEY-DAVIDSON-BIG-TWIN-BILLET-OIL-FILTER-WRENCH_W0QQcmdZViewItemQQcategoryZ35572QQihZ004QQitemZ140245008194QQrdZ1QQsspagenameZWDVW

I've got it or some close approximation thereof.  Easier to access than the band and can be used in less space.

The K&N oil filters have a nut on the end of the filter itself.  That's the easiest to service.  Unless I happen to be out I do use them.  On a filter without the nut this tool is easy though.

Enjoy your new bike......you could keep it stock like Kathy's  :cherry:......I mean we have only installed new bars, seat, trailer hitch.....
