I continue to think....That's what I love about this site....One will almost ALWAYS be informed on this site Haven't seen anything on ABC, CBS, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, or even FOX of this news. As for Murtha; hey, hope he gets SCREWED big time but I won't wait up to late for it to happen.

All of the Marines but one have been exonerated, and the SSgt left will get a pass also... 

I was in Fallujah when this happened, it was in the middle of some really, really kinetic operations (Steel Curtain) and they were well within the existing ROE.

Once this gets cleared, rumor has it we will finally get our PUC - Presidential Unit Citation, only the 2nd since Vietnam.  We did two successful elections, Oct 05 and Jan 06, started the footprint for the Sunni Awakening and TONS more during this period. 

To have Murtha smear us as he did is a disgrace.

Great news on the PUC for you and good for ALL the men and women who earned it.

Yes; Murtha is a disgrace to all Marines and millitary men and women who wore the uniform...It amazes me how he and others like him can be elected to public office in this country...Are we the people that pathetic?...I certainly hope not but the true test of our ignorance will be in November if Obama is elected...God help us if he is! Had been following the lawsuit filed by SSgt Wuterich thru a pal who is a former US Attorney involved in prosecuting the suit against Murtha.  This should be very interesting to watch as the investigation wraps up.  Apparently, Murtha's camp has admitted that his statements were made outside his official scope as a congressman and that he was briefed prior to his statements by DOD with facts opposite to those that he reported.  Seems like he just might get his just rewards and write a check to the injured parties.

I certainly hope Murtha has to pay.  $$ do not correct the stuff he fabricated (a real embarrassment to his country) , but a financial burden might just encourage the next power grubbing congressman to stick to the facts, instead of creating some to fit some fairy tale/pipe dream in an attempt further their careers.
