when do you foresee the 09 parts manual being released?

I ordered my 2007 FLHTCUSE2 parts manual and SE supplement to the SM in September of 2006. They didn't ship until December / January. I got mine in January 2007. I don't know if that's normal or not.

Hey Chief,
So far so good...the new rear cylinder, new ACRs, new O-rings, new starter........9,000+ miles on my last repair.....includes me dragging the trailer to York in late April for the CVO tour, up the BR parkway and back...2,800 miles....no runs, no leaks, no errors.....just finished running a dyno check.....A/F 13.7/1 w/ 90 HP and 112# torque. So far so good. But I find myself looking at the tranny cover and fins every trip for oil ! ! !
We'll drive it 'till she sweats again !  ;D Hope all is well with you in Georgia.

GR,

Sounds good to me. Common experience with the "B" gaskets are the same as yours, stops the leaks. As long as the liner doesn't shift a great deal, the squishier gasket keeps the seal tight.

Mine's still leaking, sometimes worse than others. I'm hoping we'll get some info on the 'plan' soon so I can figure out what I want to do next. Regardless, it won't go into the shop until November, or later. I'm not taking any chances on having a nice weekend and no bike. ;)

Glad to hear the good news.

You aregoing to like this one...finally got the rear leaky head gasket problem after 16K, thought I was going to beat iski but not today.

Took it to the HD shop, first they where going to replace the one head gasket only but I told them the new head gasket was different/improved andthey needed to do both. (why does the kit come with two in the package I asked?)

So they agreed to replace both, they call me two days later and say they have to order new base o-rings because of oil around the base of the cylinder. Ok, order the part, so I ask them "If they are removing the cylinders are you replacing the rings?"

The dealer tells me warranty does not cover replacing the rings. I call customer service and they tell me they are doing this to all 110s. The temp fix kit includes head gaskets, base o-rings, and other gaskets/parts but no rings.

So to all the engine builders out there, would you ever take the cylinders off a motor, replace the o-rings at the base, and put them back on without rehashing the cylinders and replacing the rings? :nixweiss:

Update to my last post, HD customer just called me back and have decided to replace the rings under warranty. I guess calling them does help sometimes.

For us 08 SEUC owners we are having the same problem as the 07's. At 8,000 miles I had both cylinders replaced because where the oil leaked on the rear cylinder it burned of the powder coating. Harley wanted to just have my dealer touch it up with touch up paint but my dealer said it looked like chit and ended up replacing both cylinders. The new/old Chromeric Gasket that they are using on the heads is an Old Harley Gasket that has been used for many years in older model harleys. That Gasket has always had a good sucess rate!! So far I have 6,000 miles on my motor since the engine fix up and she is running stronger and better than she did the day I bought her. I just came back from Northern New Mexico and all the rain and hail and she even ran strong with the Harley HB Intake on her. The only problem I am having now is paint issues on the tourpack and paint flacking on the oil filter housing. Oh well hear we come warranty!!! BTW the paint issues are not from Hail!! Just Poor soft paint quality!! 8) 8)
