I usually hang onto them for 3 to 5 years. This time though I think I'll just drop in a 131" and be done with it. THE MUFFMAN

I was buying a new one every two or three years.........till the SEEG came along.

It's an 04 Cobalt blue and Starlight Black and I'm very happy with it.  I'd like to buy another......the cherry or possibly the orange and black.  In my opinion, it's the best bike that HD has built to date.

I don't see myself selling this one but if HD comes out with another bike that makes me feel the way that the SEEG did and does, then who knows? :nixweiss:

I agree I still like my black and blue and when we are out with other CVO's, people still admire the color.

I'm probably not the normal as I tend to keep a vehicle 10+ years. Most of my cars I've purchased new I have kept them 10 years or longer, longest being 14 years. I'm extremely happy w/my :pumpkin: and don't forsee me getting rid of it anytime soon. Besides the SEEG's are a true limited edition from the MoCo more then likely there will never be another SEEG (maybe a FLHXSE). ;D

Nope, didn't go. I've had to work to many times when the President has been in town I try to avoid the congestion if possible. It was broadcasted live locally and I didn't even watch it. I'm not surprised that something like that happened, and the dumb chits that did this will be sorry. The Secret Service don't take it lightly threatening the POTUS, and don't mind putting you in your place (including taking you out) if you threaten him.

They shut down the entire area around Monticello this morning so that protesters couldn't be on the road, and cause disturbances.

With the exception of the '85 BMW I had, I have a tendency to keep my bikes for at least 5 years.  The Jester, because it is a CVO and has been good to me, I'll probably keep for a long time. :)   The Street Glide, depending on what I put on it and do to it, will last for probably at least 5 years, and maybe longer.   :nixweiss:  It's not like my cars/trucks which I usually trade off every 3-4 years.

I have owned 11 New Harley's. The longest I have kept one is nine years. I plan on keeping my blue 07 SEUC until 2014, That is when my ext. Warranty runs out. I love the looks of the bike and how she runs. People come up to me all the time and tell me how much they love the color and style, If I have another head gasket leak or any other problem, I will just take her back to my dealer and have her fixed under warranty. I like the fact that so few blue seuc's were built, I have only seen one on the road, only 62 were produced for California. The only way I would consider replacing my 07 would be if Harley builds a great new water cooled touring model. This time I would wait a couple of years for them to show they hold up.

I'm not sure I would want to be the owner of a 1st Gen water cooled touring model - too many gremlins typical to a 1st Gen run of things.
