Road Zeppelin seat
« on: July 06, 2008, 08:11:46 PM »

With all the talk about seats , has anyone used the Road Zeppelin seat set up from Harley. The Corbin seat looks good but the backrest leaves allot to be desired. Travelcade has been better then a month just trying to get swatches out. Daylong may be functional but looks ick.Road Zeppelin looks good but how about long distance riding. I typical go 500 to 750 miles at a time. Any help appreciated. :-\

I had mine on my 03 Ultra and loved it.  Moved it to the 07 SEUC and not only love the ride, but it also acts as heat shields and solves the burnt thigh problem.  Really!  It does not look big when I'm sitting on it, but when I get off, it does look big.  Hum, wonder what that says?

Ride Safe.

There's a guy here local who had one of those blimps on his old ultra.  One thing for sure, it would be approved for over water travel.  Seat cushion will serve as a flotation device.  8)

Hi Everyone,

I really like the Road Zeppelin seat and would recommended it to anyone.

It's pricey and for some reason, some folks don't like it.

Also, there were problems with some early versions.

It connects to ACC switch and wait a couple minutes for the air compressor to fill the air reservoir.
Then press and hold any of 3 individual buttons on the seat for rider, 2 for passenger.
Add or remove air (firmness) when and where necessary.

Backrest is not inflatable, has black adjuster on left side of frame and new bracket below seat.

Don't know if any of this fits 2008 FLH models.

Un-inflated, comfort is average, inflated makes long rides very comfortable.

It's a big, wide seat, spreads yours legs apart, thereby increasing your height from the ground.
I'm 5'9" and used it for 2 seasons on a 2006 CVO Ultra.

Because I like my 2008 CVO Ultra seat so much, I'd like to sell my leather Road Zepp Air Seat.

In March 2006, I paid:

52333-97D Road Zepp Air Seat, Leather, Rider  $800
52468-01A Road Zepp, Leather, Adj Back Rest   $300
52335-97  Road Zepp Air Seat, Leather, Pass   $200

Thinking $750.

Lemme know by PM or e-mail.

Thanks,

Bob V, aka Timba

Make sure you place this in the items for sale....

1 problem with Zep was you lost heated seat options

and did I mention it was one big a$$ seat

when you are seated it looks ok, but by itself it looks ready for the wide a$$ family

Boy is it big.....did I mention that?

Holy cow, my bed is smaller than that! Looks pretty comfy for those 500 plus mile days though.

Yeah, it is nothing short of a couch.....

the guys tell me how comfortable it is , and I do not doubt it,if you nail your lazy boy to the bike....

the neatest thing about the Zeppelin is you can go camping with it and it has a quick release so you can use it for a bed....
