Three years ago I bought my first bagger, black with lava red RCI.  I rode to work in the morning and decided to park in the garage instead of parking lot to keep it clean.  Parked in a spot, put the kick stand but before I put the bike on stand, I decided to move it because there was a two door piece of chit was next to me and I didn't want the guy to swing the door wide open and hit my new bike.  Moved the bike to a safer spot, turned it off and let go before I realized didn't have the kick stand out.  laid down the bike on guards and nearly broke my knee.  Picked up the bike as fast as I could before anyone saw it using my back rather than my legs.  Two hours later, my back hurt worse than my ego.   Felt so stupid, I didn't tell any one for over a year.

We all have had these stories........and it is always funny that we first look around to see if there are any witnesses

I pulled a stupid one today.... On the way to a benefit ride with Down Bikers for a buddy of mine I work with. I roared past our boss into a tight left hand corner. Long story short I put it into the ditch but I somehow rode it out about 40-50 yards down from my entry point. Missed a mailbox and a culvert. Damn stupid and Damn lucky!!!! Learned a valuable lesson and picked up a new nickname. By the end of the benefit everyone was calling me Ditch. Might get that sewn on my vest as a reminder to behave. Learn from my mistake, I know I have.

No damage to the bike just my EGO.... I have two kids at home that I want to see every night, I think I'm going to take the "Ride Safe" thing a whole lot more serious now. By the way the stripe wiped off easier than I thought....LOL

Two great kids 13 and 11 both boy's, I just refer to them as my brats.... But can I change my screen name to "Ditch"? I,m new to the site so I don't know all the rules... Thanks

a while back, my friend and I pulled up the local H  D dealership on a saturday afternoon   ...   people everywhere   ...   we get off the

bikes and walk away   ...   he forgot to put the kickstand down!

hehe.....yeah we had that conversation.  I was telling you about the time Renea and I pulled in the garage after a ride.  She hopped off, and I was watching her bounce across the floor and forgot to put the jiffy stand down.  Damn thing gets heavy once it gets so far over.....right onto the crash bars.

Heck I don't feel so bad now.

I have a buddy who rode from Texas to Alaska, and stopped on the way at a HD dealership in Colorado. Put her fork lock on, and went inside for a break. Came out and mounted up, rode off...but not very far!  Forgot to take her fork lock off. Right in front of a busy dealership. Oooops.
