Foggy oil temp gauge
« on: June 08, 2005, 09:30:01 PM »

Anyone else have this problem?

My Roger McEwen oil temp gauge is fogged up at times. Sometimes when I first start riding and sometimes after  I have been riding awile.

Yeah, 'er 'uh, porthole,
 Even us common-folk, who have the struggle of living with standard gauges on our Non-CVO Bikes, experience this ghostly fog on OUR lenses, from time to time.  It's nothing more than condensation, or sweat, if you will.  Ride Hard! It WILL disappear!  Later--HUBBARD

I think Roger will replace it, if you bought it directly from him.

It is my understanding that in no way could fog catch up to your bike!   [smiley=beerchug.gif]

Yeah, 'er 'uh, porthole,
 Please allow me the courtesy to constructively correct your post, kind sir.  It is my belief, for reasons beyond your control, that the causal inability to read your gauges has placed you in an obvious state of dismay, which is, among others, one of the emotions which cause hallucinations.  This delusion, in turn, caused you to mistakenly insert the noun, "fog", when in fact, you thought you had inserted the noun, "Chip."  That's OK!    [smiley=huepfenlol2.gif] I can relate.  This, too, will pass.  Hang in there!  Later--HUBBARD

And for Tater--------> [smiley=sauer021.gif]

Mr Porthole

Some of mine do the same! My 03 dresser does it all the time when it rains.
Still works after 20K+ miles.

I think it was built that way to match the fuel gauge-AK
