Have you guys seen that the weight of the new 2009 FLHTCU Ultra Classic is over 852 lbs, that's nearly 300 lbs more than our 1999 FXR2's, which are of course 40 lbs lighter than the 3's or 4's for that matter. The 2009 Ultra is also 150 lbs heavier than my 2002 RKC. It has a seat height of 30.7 vs 26.5 for my 2002 RKC as well. Our seat heights for our FXR2's, FXR3's, and FXR4's are approximately 25.5". WOW that's a huge motorcycle.....shakes my head.....I can't imagine holding up over 852 lbs + another 60 lbs for luggage and another 100+ for any passenger....I don't pay that much attention to Ultra's in general it's really all I can do to keep track of my own two bikes and understand them as well as possible, but George....how much does your 2005 Ultra weigh in at, perhaps the weight of your model year is quite consistant with the 2009's and I just like I said have paid attention....
Every corner, every parking lot, every slight grade or slippery surface would be on my mind with such a motorcycle....
