Hoist,
WOW!!!!!! I just read the last what 2 pages here in this thread.......have you guys noticed that this forum has picked up like we are @ Laguna Seca....and we are all being whipped around the corners.....lol.....you are an AMAZING GUY HOIST!!!!! I have to give you the THUMBS UP you see something and YOU GO FOR IT.....which is a GREAT TRAIT!!!

CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! CONGRATULATIONS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
It's so awesome for you to have found such a beautiful bike!!!!!
I am looking forward to ALL of your input and participation here as a
1999 FXR3 Dark Candy Blue With Flames owner.....and I am just so excited for you as well as for George!!!!!! This is absolutely AWESOME......I feel like this website/forum is FINALLY serving it's purpose by providing an outlet for us who have an interest in these bikes to share our thoughts and ideas and to be able to pass along our combined knowledge to others who might find an interest as well. THIS IS THE BEST!!!!!!
Now I have a question, where is Mike, I haven't seen him posting in the past few days....I hope all is ok....perhaps he is on vacation or out riding.....anyway......I have been missing his input!!!!!
103tHunDer...(Blaine) I believe....lol....I am glad you are going to do the R&D!!! To answer your question....that's what I am saying no "dive" ask Mike he knows the type of riding I have available out here he's traveled the roads....bike handles great with our "canyons" here.....OK....that being said I AM REALLY excited to see, observe, learn, and listen, to Hoist's transformations.....because:
1) they are entertaining and then of course
2) he is so dedicated to the "detail" of getting something right
3) he is fanatical about what he does.....<~~~which I see as a positive
4) he is passionate
5) he is willing to do the R&D
6) he is willing to take the time to explain his reasoning and is always comfortable enough to allow another to make their own decision.
7) he is extremely funny
Blaine....creating the Blue 64 Registrey is also awesome....what a grand idea.....
I am also excited by something else....Reddog who posted over on the "history" side....with his FXR Twin Cam.....I am excited to see other's coming over to participate.....that's awesome too....
I really appreciate elvislee's effort to put out the information on the oem books as well.
Hoist and you are right the "profile" or the "stance" of the FXRS-SP Low Rider Sport Edition bikes do not look like "dirt bikes" they have a very "decent" presentation profile even though they have higher ground clearance.....as I said this is going to be fun watching this take on a life of it's own.....
AND who has a "specs" sheet specific to the FXR3? I would love to see one.....it needs to be put on the FXR2's FXR3's FXR4's photo thread.....hopefully someone has one....
Hoist given that you acquired your bike from an original owner, did "Joy" have sale's literature for the bike? You probably have already checked with her.
George how are things progressing on your bike, been out on it some more......keep us all informed.....
Alrighty then.....
Regards,
Tim
