I concur with the D and D's if you want a slip on.  Other than that, go with a true dual system and a d and d 2 into 1.  Rineharts are loud when you get on them, at idle they are easy on the ears.

The Bassani RoadRage 2 into 1 and the D&D Borzilla are probably the 2 loudest pipes in my opinion.

one thing to keep in mind on the pipes you choose; look at the finish and construction, I have seen some pipes that are out there that make some serious sounds, but look like crap on their finish.

For me if I am dropping 35K+ on my bike, those pipes are going to be nice looking as well.  I have a set of RH true duals, easy on the ears at idle, but you can make her bark and turn heads with a flip of the wrist.  Comfortable at cruising speeds as well.

Noise ordinances are more and more common.  They happen for a reason.

That is no fun at all........Is serious Twolane speaking or Evil Howie?

The Loudest exhaust I have ever  heard is short straight pipes with radical cams.....and that folks is intolerable

I had one on my 110 you could look in the mirror and see all the house lights coming on down the street while riding at night. Firing it up in a closed garage would drown out the wife's phone call in the house. It did sound awsome though and made lots of power, great chrome and fit. I changed it out for a RB Black hole which is QUIET but has a great big block chevy rumble to it. Hand made pipe about 3 - 6 weeks wait to get one but I'm real happy with both of them.

Well I took the plunge and I am very happy....

I went with V&H true Dual headers with my Rinehart slip ons. I also installed a chrome Arlen Ness Big Sucker stage 1 and power commander. WOW what a difference.

Thanks for all the suggestions..

Having ridden behind both Howies, I think it is a toss up between the D&D Fatcat and Rinehart TDs.

I added Bub 7, true Duals.  They look and sound great.  Have a little bit of popping during hard de-acceleration, but that will go away when I have it Dyno tuned.  Waiting to get more miles on it before dyno.  Led a group of 14 bikes last weekend, and everyone commented on how good they sounded.  They have a chrome slash cut, when faced up match the lines of the saddle bags.
