Thread is way past hijacked, but stopping at Berns for a steak AND a dessert is always a good idea.   :2vrolijk_21:

Amen to Berns!  Awesome steaks, incredible wine cellar and of course, one can never pass up the dessert room.  One of the few places that actually makes a reservation for the dessert room when you are seated for dinner in the main restaurant.  To jack this thread a little further, would be a great stop on the CVO Key West travelling GTG!

Best idea I have read on this board today!   :2vrolijk_21:  Wonder where our dinner stop is on that leg & if it could be changed to Tampa/St. Pete?

Now you have piqued my interest!

I like Ruth's Chris - most of 'em but especially the one in Baton Rouge & Nawlins as well.  Mortons are also great & always been a fan of Del Friscos.  Yum!

Local indie steak houses I usually like best - have tried to visit as many as I could through the years but figure there must be many good ones I do not know about.

My vote for the best STEAK at a Steakhouse goes to the Hereford House (Downtown) in Kansas City, we ate there last April...the best steak I ever Had.

Morton's is always a favorite of mine.

had a Kobe once at Foxwoods Paragon restaurant but can't say I was overly impressed.

again, Hereford  House tops my list!

Hereford House - great steak!.  Cattleman's used to be great in Ft. Worth but was not the last time there - still good - been years.

III Forks in Dallas is top notch, too!  Mortons & their souffles are a slice of heaven on Earth.....

In Meeami it is Smith and Wolenski's at the Government Cut.  Nice place to eat, right on the water.  The truffled mac and cheese rules...

Ruths Chris are in Ft Laudy, WPB, a Morton's here too. The keys, well should be eating keys food there...wings, grouper dogs and beer.  I don't know about Naples.

We also have Raindancers (soso) and the venerable Okeechobee Steakhouse, however it has slipped over the last few years for me as they refuse to carry good wine and hire a friggin cook that knows how to cook steaks.

Berns is one of the best I have ever been to and I have been to a few of the worlds best in my days travelling.

I think the best is Fordie's in Vancouver, Alberta grass fed and dry aged cow, are you kidding me..? And the vino, mardon!
