Thanks Hoist
« on: July 20, 2008, 02:22:20 PM »

After reading Hoist's review of Traxxion front ends and looking into the alternatives......I had them installed on my 08 CVO ultra.  Since Harley had improved the 08's front end I wasn't sure how much difference there would be with Traxxion.  Yesterday I took a 200 mile ride in the mountains east of San Diego....... on one of my usual routes.  The difference is amazing.  Now I get why so many of you rave about Traxxion.
The best analogy that I can come up with is with ski technology..... Skis used to be long and have very little sidecut.
If the tips were too soft the skis wouldn't carve turns well.  If the tips were too stiff the skis wouldn't float in lighter snow.
Today we "parabolic" skis which have tremendous sidecut, are shorter and ski everything well.
Comparing the Harley front end to the Traxxion front end is like comparing the old skis to the new "parabolics".
The bike rides faster, more smoothly, it is safer and feels significantly more sure footed.  The ride is not more harsh.
     See ya in Sturgis!

That's what happens when you're spinning the wheel on the mouse as you click sometimes put things in wrong places. All is well now. :2vrolijk_21:

If ya got the $$$, ABSOLUTELY!!! :2vrolijk_21: :huepfenjump3: :huepfenjump3: :huepfenjump3:

Best shocks yet for an FL. A CVO Ultra is stock height I believe. If so, you'll need the 330mm Bitubos. You'll love them too! ;)
