Washed and waxed my bike saturday morning (2nd time this year).  Later in the afternoon I get a call from my Brother in Law, recent buyer of an 04 Yamaha cruiser, telling me that the local Catholic Church is having a bike show as part of their lawn fete that evening.  I was just leaving for a benefit picnic and told I would stop by on the way home. 

By the time I got there at 6:30 a very light rain had set in.  Registration closed at 7.  There were 18 bikes.  All registrants were given a ballot with 3 votes.  It was a three way tie for 4th place with trophies to 5th.  My brother in law and I were two of the three.  It was settled with a coin flip and I got 4th.

The trophy, with a plastic Gold Wing on the top says, "Saint John the Baptist, Lawn Fete Bike Show, 4th place, July 19th, 2008".  So I've got that going for me, which is nice.........

Ok... , I think you have "one-up'd" all of us ....You've got the 4th place trophy with a Goldwing on it.  I'm sure there is someone somewhere that is insanely jealous of you right now....... ok, probably not

Will it reside at the tiki with all the other awards a special reccommendations, accolades and attaa boys?

Very proud you must be.  This could get big if you want it too...

It's on the tiki hut bar now and will be displayed proudly at the next BBQ competition.  It's too funny to make up!  I may be able to get a lousy cell phone picture if it.....  BRB.....

That green label don't look empty? All mine are! I was told by the distillery that it is not made anymore, is it? I always had to have friends east of the Mississippi send it as California won't get it.  Dave

It's not empty.  And yes, it's no longer available.  My Brother in Law (different one) got it for me last week.  It'll likely be empty tonight.

I don't think they make it anymore because it was 80 proof when regular black label Jack was 86 proof. Now regular black label Jack is 80 proof.
