SERK Engine Mount
« on: July 21, 2008, 09:40:42 PM »

Is this a big issue?  As in- should I stop riding until I get it repaired?

Betting this gets d00d'd - but was not sure where to post it...

It needs replaced.  If the vibrations aren't any worse than normal, I would ride until my dealer could get me in.  If I were going on a trip, I would replace before then.

I had a mount go bad on my SERK but I could only tell when it was idling and when the bike was running around 2500rpm's. Is the bike vibrating more than normal? It shouldn't take the dealer long to replace it.

I don't know what normal is...  Have only owned this since April - and put just over 1000 mi on it...  It doesn't seem to vibrate that bad, but maybe I just don't know?

Will get it replaced ASAP.

Thanks!

While I was riding and I got the rev's to 2500 rpm's, my floorboards would vibrate. Anywhere below or above and I never noticed it. At first I thought it might have been the crank runout issue that many here have experienced so I took it to the shop and they fixed the mount very quickly. Sorry I wasn't more specific earlier
