Hello everyone,I've been a member for a while and have been doing lots of reading. I decided to introduce myself today to see if there are any other members here from Asheville or the surrounding area. There are a lot of nice bikes here.

Good eye there LRebel, I got my SERK in Aug. of 2006. It is my first Harley but not my first bike. I didn't know how expensive it is to do anything to this bike lol. I also own a honda spirit 750. Believe it or not I only have about 350 miles on my SERK. Thanks everyone for the nice welcome.

Unfortunately I won't be able to go, I just got out of the hospital the week of June 16th, I have blood clots in my left leg and my lungs and I probably won't be able to ride this year. They have me on blood thinning medicine and said I would be out of comission for 6 months. :(

Sorry to hear that hope you have a speedy recovery. Since you're so close maybe you could drive (car) over one evening have dinner/hang out/meet some of us. Keep watching the thread I mentioned earlier and also the "Event Chatter" board for some of the activities that will be going on and if you can make it over one evening we'd be glad to have you.

Thanks Sean I just looked at a map to see where you were, you're close to the coast. I'd love to visit some time to see the coast.

Thanks so much Fired00d My left foot is rather swelled and I have been trying to walk on it but I think I'm trying to do too much too soon. I just might take you up on that when I'm able to travel.

Dar,

Welcome from Charlotte.  Hope you have a quick and full recovery.  Blood clots are noting to mess around with.  You have a lot of great riding everywhere around you.  Get better and get riding that SERK.  We ride over in that area all the time.  Hope you can make it for at least one of the GTG dinners or something while a bunch of us are at Maggie Valley this fall.
