I believe Hoist installed the Velva Ride and gave it a good recommendation. He started a thread awhile back. You may want to look it up as i remember there was a few tricks on installations. You could also try sending Hoist a PM and ask him about his Velva Ride experience.

I really like this mount on my 05 and have had for about 15,000 miles.  Others on this site (Chief) had a vibration with his.  Would go back with another.

Chief documented this installation very well with pictures in his build thread...

Actually I love the mount, but it's urethane and is extremely stiff. I didn't want any potential vibration transferred from the mount on my SERK. So I used the True Track front mount on my SERK. I use the Velva Ride mount on my Pro Street, specifically for the extra stiffness. I used the Velva Ride Stabilizers on the SERK and Pro Street both. They blow the HD stabilizers away. Look at the True Track mount Sean. ;)

Have used the Velva mounts on many different bikes; for a long time.  The "feel" might be different.  But it's no big deal.  A side benefit from the material other than the obvious strength improvement is no materials degradation from the inevitable oil spill.

Sean,
I went with a Buell front Eng mount on my old 07 Street Glide because I had a vibration in my left floorboard,
it got rid of it and then I ordered one for the 07 SE Ultra(not cause it needs it) and will install soon.

Don, when I looked up the change out for this in my manual it stated you needed the alignment tool to reset the engine true...

Do I?  If the one in Dennis Kirk is close to the OEM one, its like $400+

Sean, as long as you don't change the length of the stabilizer links you won't need to reset the powertrain alignment.  When you change the mount you will remove the attaching bolts for the front stabilizer link to gain access.  Do not loosen the jam nuts.  If you decide to change the link to a different brand (I used the Velva-Ride version), just accurately measure the length of the original and transfer that dimension to the new part.

In case the new link is a different design, you are measuring from the center of the whole on each end of the stabilizer, like when we used to do replacing tie rods on autos.

LO501.2 is the part# from a post on HDForums website.

I did a search and typed in "Buell motor mount" and this part# came up.  Also, the fellow who supplied the # said this mount only lasted 3-4,000 miles in his Streetglide.  He stated too soft.

I would go with the Velva mount again.
