Which SE pipes are stock?
« on: July 24, 2008, 12:15:20 PM »

I just got my 07 Jester back from the shop today...they performed have of the recall and will do the rest after they get the parts.

I just had V&H true duals, SE HB, and SERT Pro tuner...The pipes are too loud for me.

My question to you guys, which pipes (part #) are the stock pipes?  Is there another level of SE pipes over what I have that will fit on my headers?  Would they be a bit louder than stock but yet quieter than what I have?

One of the mechanics stated that the SE pipes are very good for performance but because they're qiet nobody wants them.

Let me know.

And by the way, this is Tennessee and we don't have to deal with the emissions crap, so leave that out of the responses please.

I don't know if this helps but your stock removed mufflers will sound better on the V&H TD headpipes (if you still have your old mufflers) and will be a lot quieter than the Ovals or whatever V&H mufflers you have.

I read that on another post and am willing to try it, I was just wondering if there was another level of SE pipes over my stock ones.

I have SE's on mine... I like them because they don't wake my neighbours at 5:00am (or they are just polite and don't hassle me about it) and they bark pretty loud when I'm in the road.

I am leaving for work myself - I have a Bassani Power Curve with Slash Cuts- baffles.  As long as I don't rev the crap out of it, the neighbors have not shot me since getting the SERK...and I have neighbors who could!   :rifle: :rifle:

Ok...I have the answer.  The pipes on my 07 Jester are NOT SE pipes!  That's the part I couldn't put together.  Basically, they're stock pipes just like a regular Ultra has on it but designed for CVOs. Again, they're  NOT SE pipes.

I did something similar - Rineharts on the stock head pipes.  So far I'm happy - I actually was thinking of going full true duals this winter for more sound.  But the current setup has a great deep sound without being obnoxious to either me or my neighbors

I run the RB racing Black hole exhaust they are nice and quiet without any performance loss I noticed they performed better than the Super Trapp I took off, Running a 127" motor. This is my second pipe from them and totally happy with both it's just they take a while to ship as each one is made to order so about 3 - 6 weeks to get.
