Looks great!!!  I also just got my tourpack removed,  picking the bike up from the dealer tommorrow afternoon.  Did you have to remove the bracket under the seat that secures the stock backrest down?

I have a danny grey solo seat on the way.   I like the look of having the rear fender exposed.

Yours looks awesome!!!   I would love the hawg wired .. I just had them remove the amp and harness for now.

Mike

This is a pic of another members bike that I loved the look of.  I ordered the same seat...     This Blue 08 is sweet!!!!

Electra88,
Yes I had to remove the bracket the holds the stock driver's backrest in place ... not a big deal. The Corbin also requires the installation of some included hardware to install their seat with the key lock system that they use. It eliminates seeing the rear seat docking screw and locks the seat in place requiring a key to remove it. Very slick system.

Great job! You definitely turned the bike for a tricked out touring bike to a tricked out hot rod bagger.  Looks very good and tastefully done.  I like the rear leds too!

Do you know if stock amp and harness can be routed to saddlebag? Thinkin about detachable tour pak, but not lookin to spend all that much on stereo. Also thinkin about a stock streetglide seat so I can retain backrest mount under seat.

And Tom,  bike looks awesome :2vrolijk_21:

Pete,
I have heard of some members going the saddlebag route, but I believe there might be heat issues and I am not sure I would want to cut a hole in the saddlebag to route the harness. You can remove the amp and harness completely and still have full audio function (like a stock Ultra Classic), but you will lose a little volume. As far as the street glide seat, I believe that the tongue is not long enough to butt up against our console/canopy, thus leaving a gap. I hope I answered your questions.

Thanks, do you know of any seat that's styled like yours but retains stock backrest mount and works w/our bikes?

Pete,
I don't know of a seat that is designed (either Harley or Aftermarket) that is slim and sleek and will allow you to keep the bracket in tact for the rider backrest, but check out this link to Corbin: http://www.corbin.com/harley/baggers/hdflh97cvos.shtml. It is available in two configurations, can be heated, and accepts several different rider backrests and passenger pillons.

Ultra88,
You are going to love the new feel and look of your bike. I tried my radio with the amp removed, before I installed the Hawg Wired system and it sounded good (just lost a little volume). If you want to upgrade without going with the whole Hawg Wired system, they sell upgraded 2 ohm speakers that will work with our stock Harmon Kardon radios and it won't cost you a fortune. You can use their SX series speakers for the front fairing and they are coming out with an RX series that will fit the tour pak when you attach it. Feel free to email me if you have any questions or talk to h-d dude from this forum. He is a Hawg Wired dealer and I believe he offers a 10% discount to forum members.

You might want to look at the Corbin Stinger.  Same basic seat as the young guns but has a backrest.  I have it on my bike and love it, great for long distance.
