Here are the HD Part Numbers for the Owners Manual, Parts Manual, Service Supplement Manual Fxr4, and Service Manual for the FXR2/3/4. All should still be available at the dealers and on e-bay. I posted this info earlier in the (BUYING) section and thought it would be useful here. Any of you that have Part Numbers for any FXR manuals you would like posted; please PM the PN/Yr Mdl to me and I will place them here in the correct year order. If anyone has any corrections to any info posted below; please PM me and it will be corrected...Thanks Folks...Blaine

**Fxr4 Service Supplemental Manual is just that; a supplemental manual which covers the changes made from the Fxr2/3 to the Fxr4.

What IS COVERED in the Fxr4 Supplemental Service Manual are as follows: Section 1 (MAINTENANCE), Section 2 (CHASSIS), and
Section 8 (ELECTRICAL).

What IS NOT COVERED in the Fxr4 Service Supplemental Manual is as follows: Sections 3 (ENGINE), Section 4 (FUEL SYSYEM), Section 5 (ELECTRIC STARTER), Section 6 (DRIVE), and Section 7 (TRANSMISSION).
All these sections will refer you to the Fxr2/3 Service Manual.  

If you own an Fxr4 and want to own the COMPLETE Fxr4 Service Manual, you must purchase the Fxr4 Service Supplemental Manual and the Fxr2/3 Service Manual to have a COMPLETE Service Manual for your Fxr4

Thanks Brian...I coulda called the dealer or checked when I was down there the last few times; but, keep forgetting 

Still need the Fxr2 Owners Manual Part Number.....Anyone? 

Since it's a '99, and the only FXR's were CVO's, the FXR Service Manual wouldn't be required too, like with the touring bikes. Is this correct? All I'll need is the H-D 1999 FXR2/FXR3 Service Manual #99480-99; and the Harley-Davidson 1999 FXR3 Parts Catalog #99427-99? Thanks.

Hoist you are correct.....if you decide you wish to own the smaller "Owners Manual" there is one for the FXR3, just like there is one for the FXR2 and FXR4.

You are also correct that there is no other "reference" material specific to the "CVO" FXR's ie: the 1999 FXR2, 1999 FXR3 or 2000 FXR4 in terms of a "Service Manual" other than what is specifically listed here this of course is due in part that in 1999 and 2000 apart from the "CVO" program the FXR's were not in production and there were plenty of changes associated with these models to affectively make any previous literature out of date per say.

All of the information you will need specific to the FXR2/FXR3 is of course in the Service Manual HD# 99480-99 as elvislee has posted above. 

While the FXR2 and FXR3 do share the same HD# Part number for a "Service Manual", you are also correct in your understanding that the "Parts Book/Catalog" is specific to each particular "CVO" FXR such that the FXR2, FXR3, and FXR4 each specifically have their own particular books via individual HD# part numbers.

Thanks again Tim. I think I'll order both! Bike comes with the owner's manual. Owner has all the original CVO items it came with, and all the takeoffs!
