Much more sophisticated frame, suspension, and drivetrain than H-D. Seat height at 30.3 inches could be a problem for those of us who are vertically challenged, but I used to ride Yamaha's and Honda's that were every bit as tall if not taller so I'm sure I could adapt. On the negative side is the appearance compared to a Harley, with the enclosed look similar to the Honda that many Harley fans don't care for. On the other hand, I can't see what it looks like while I'm riding it, and I don't really care what anyone else thinks about how my bike looks. I'm not into bar hopping and posing.
The totally amazing thing in my mind is the huge price difference. CVO CUSE4 = $35995, BMW K1200LT = $21520 Even if you give the Harley credit for the paint job, you're still looking at $10k more for a lower performance, lower tech, poorer handling, and less reliable bike. That seems like an awfully large premium for "style" or "soul" or whatever it is that Harley has been selling in place of quality and performance.
BIGDOG, let us know how things turn out. And don't feel like the lone stranger, there are other's who are strongly considering a change of brands as well. Your's truly is just one.
