And the washer no doubt gets separated form the D-ring piece doubling the search effprt...and then you realize that somehow, it stuck to the rubber grommet...btdt

Purposely glued the washers to the rubber biscuits just to keep them from "disappearing".  Should have been made that way, with the metal bonded to the rubber like a motor mount.

I've always had a Love/hate relationship with "quarter turn fasteners" I love them when they work, it's just I hate getting them to work. Have you ever tried to install a set from the beginning? Drill the hole, line up the wire connecting side and then pop rivet it....what a pain.

The brackets that the pins go into are adjustable so maybe one or both moved out of place a little and now it's turned into a pain in the arss.

I adjusted mine some and now the bags come on and off no problem.

Yeah, but . . . . even when they lined up the last time you installed them is no guarantee they'll do the same the next time.  I've found that placement of the saddlebag is paramount.  I mean I can get one installed just fine but then the other won't line up and I'll have to remove the first and jiggle the saddlebag forward or backward just a smidge to get them both to align properly.  As far as I'm concerned they are a PIA.
