Have watched about 5 of these shows.  Katy's cleavage has a key role:

My buddy TIVO had been watching this for me.  Over the weekend watched two shows one night and two shows the next.  Does anyone else think they're watching "Hamlet?"  Perlman is Claudius and Segal is Gertrude and the Jax character is Prince Hamlet himself.  The writers are doing Willie G (Shakespeare) on Harleys.  Neat idea but I bet some writer had to get a little wasted to come up with it originally....

Guy is sitting on a balcony somewhere.  Munching on his third large bag of Cool Ranch Doritos.  Giggling his way through Shakespeare with some expensive leather bound volume of Hamlet on his lap getting the pages stained by Dorito residue.  Then, suddenly, the staccato rumble of  a couple of Harleys ride by down below.  He stops reading.  Has a moment of clarity. A new allegory is born.  He giggles again uncontrollably.  Then has a massive bout of paranoia thinking someone is already stealing the idea he just had.  And a TV show is born :huepfenlol2: .

I think you might be dead on with this one Don, no  new stories anymore just retreads with different names and faces. The real question is how are they going to drag on that story line for how many years?

How much more sympathetic can they make SAMCRO?  You start feeling bad for the same guys that burned a tattoo off one of their friends.

Full disclosure require I admit something here.  I always admire a good writer or writing team that can keep you sympathetic to the anti-hero.  It's easy to vicariously like villians and "bad guys."  Professionals with motorcycles do that everytime they pull on leathers and ride out on their non-rainy Saturdays.  But the anti-hero or the fallen tragic here is a whole different beast.  That's a lot harder to write for over the long haul.  You come to see their flaws too often and too easily and lose the sympathy.

There's another TV show that TIVO catches for me and I watch some of called "The Shield."  I forget the lead character's name but he's a guy like that and the writers have done a decent job of making him bad in a lot of ways while still keeping an audience at least interested in his fate.  Come to think of it some of the writing is similar between these two shows.  Bet there's some cross pollination among the writing staffs.

LOS ANGELES, Calif. --
The actress who played Mary Ann on television's "Gilligan's Island" pleads guilty.

Actress Dawn Wells was sentenced on February 29, to five days in an Idaho jail, after pleading guilty to one count of reckless driving. She was also fined $410.50 and put on probation.

A Teton County sheriff stopped Wells on October 18, 2007, during a routine traffic stop. She was eventually charged with misdemeanor counts — driving under the influence, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance, the Associated Press reported.

As part of an agreement with prosecutors, the three initial charges stemming from the traffic stop were dropped in exchange for a guilty plea to one count of reckless driving.

Dawn Wells is best know for playing the girl-next door character, Mary Ann, on the popular 1960's television show "Gilligan's Island." She later made appearances on hit shows like, "The Love Boat," "Fantasy Island," and "Baywatch."

Not of the same generation so not a fair comparison.  And Mary Ann was a babe in her own way.  But Katie Segal is hot.

Thanks Neal.  There's enough similarity there the mixed blood between the two shows isn't surprising.

Probably should of paid attention and read the "bard" when in high school but smokin in the boys room was more fun. Given the state of tv entertainment I like this show a lot. Shield's done in a week or so and it's waaay past time for that. Gemma would do for a night or two. I like the Chief (Charlie Udder - Deadwood). Nothing going on, smokin pot in the office and just chillin while waiting to die. Oh yeah, he's a bad guy too.

I'm a complete Deadwood nut and not to be a picky SOB but it's Utter not Udder.  Charlie Utter was a real person who lived in Deadwood. Google his name, you'll be fascinated what you find written about him (hint - remember when he was concerned about his appearance? )
